Calling All Quilters!
Well, I got my wish! Spring did indeed come, and the animals are knee-deep in lovely green grass. Every evening, they come in, tummies packed with cud to chew all night.
If you happen to live in the Pacific Northwest, I have a class coming up on Friday, June 6, 9:30 a.m. in Monroe, WA at Fiber Fusion.
This class kit is a "sampler" where students will get a chance to hook with yarn, then T-shirt strips, then wool fabric strips, and cotton strips. It's the perfect way to learn to transform all your stash into heirloom-quality rugs! If you're in the area, click here to sign up!

I'm working on a new rug hooking book for quilters, showing them how easy it is to convert their mountains of scraps leftover from past projects (but too pretty to get rid of) into beautiful, durable, machine-washable rugs. And guess what, since you'll be using the scraps from your own quilts, you'll be using the same colors on the floor as on your bed! For hundreds of years, rug hooking has been all about hooking with what you've got. And if you're a quilter, you've got the perfect materials to make gorgeous rugs.
