Magpie Times: The Magic of Autumn will be released on September 1, 2026! 

We have a spectacular feature on the American Tapestry project, now touring the United States.

Curator Stefan Romero enlisted the help of thousands of embroiders to stitch patterns that feature the 13 original colonies for the US 250th anniversary.

I uploaded a video of how to hook with cotton strips:

Basically, if I'm hooking with fabric that's the same color on both sides, I hook the same way I hook with yarn. If the fabric is printed on only one side, I hook the way I hook with wool strips. Pretty simple! Here's a PDF that shows you the steps.
