Magpie Times Magazine is a finalist in the Chanticleer Book Awards. It was also shortlisted for best cover design!

I'm sold out of the print copies of Magpie Times: Garden Party, but you can still get the digital version forever.

The digital version is called a "flipbook." It's like an eBook except you view it on your computer, so the images are big. This is great for books or magazines with tons of color pictures. The other benefit is that you get to see the facing pages at the same time, so presentation is exactly like the the print version. You can also print some or all of the articles and free patterns if you want to. With the added benefits of no postage, no waiting (the link goes straight to your email) and you save a tree!

I'm going to have my booth at the Shepherd's Extravaganza next weekend, April 11-12 at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw, WA. If you're in the area, come by and say hi! We'll have dozens of vendors, 6 classes, a wool show and sale, a Fiber Arts competition, an awesome Used Equipment sale, and on Saturday, the Wooly Waulkers are coming back.

What are the Wooly Waulkers? They are a Gaelic language group that performs the ancient waulking process (the fulling or felting of woven wool fabric) while singing waulking songs. It's an amazing reenactment of this process of the past, and not to be missed! Here's a clip of what they do.
I'm going to be teaching a workshop with Deana David on what it takes to put out a magazine. It's sponsored by Pacific Northwest Writer's Association, and on Zoom, April 22, at 6:30 PM (Pacific).
