Mermaid Pillows

Maya put her artistic flair to these lovely pillows, hooked for her three daughters for Christmas. Each one has a pocket sewn into the back, for secret Christmas money!
The pillows were hooked on rug warp, and hooked with a stunning combination of mohair, wool, acryllic yarn and some satin ribbon fibers as well.
Maya's artistry does not only extend to rug hooking! She is a fantastic painter and designer, and with her husband Chris, she runs the Londonderry Inn in South Londonderry, Vermont. This unique historic lodge overlooks the West River in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Visitors can not only enjoy a totally green, organic meals, but animal lovers can make friends with the menagerie of birds, cats and one old hound dog.
