Featured Rug of the Month--
February 2008
This rug is an homage to the famous painting by Frenchman Rudolpho Salis, with my own personal touch.  The black cat in the iconic image actually resembles our own crazy cat, Pepsi.  Pepsi is a real case.  He was a stray kitten, brown (with dirt, we found out), starving and eyes shut with infection.  I nursed him to health in the laundry room, taking care to avoid spreading infection to our other cats.  Well, I guess when he finally was able to open his eyes, he saw me, so I became "mom."  (Pepsi is purring in my lap as I write this)  He turned out to be a loving but psychotic cat, who is terrified of going outside, and of strangers coming into the house.  But he is also the most affectionate cat I've ever known, so he has earned a place in my heart.

Do you have a rug you would like to see featured on this website?  E-mail me! If your rug is chosen, you will receive your choice of a copy of my book, "Hooking With Yarn" or a free yard of linen, so share your stories!  It can be a rug you've made, inherited, found on a treasure hunt, whatever!  They all have interesting stories, and we love to hear about them.  You can view the archive of featured rugs here!
