This rug was very fun to make, because I incorporated fabric strips into the rug, which added some interesting texture.
I hooked the sheep with varying shades of white and gray wool strips, and the border is peppered with lots of bright-colored wool fabric strips and yarn.
The background is a handspun blend of lincoln and mohair, the "blotches" happened because the wool blend changed throughout the spinning process.
