Featured Rug of the Month:
August, 2006
This pattern comes to us from designer Cari Buziak of www.aon-celtic.com!  It is protected by copyright.  It was hooked by Lois Barber.
"Since I've started hooking, I find that it gets easier and easier.  I was so afraid that I would make mistakes or that I wasn't doing it right.  But now I look at it and if I don't like it, I just start over again.  And there is no right or wrong way.  Thanks Judy for teaching me a great craft.  In the early morning I get myself a cup of tea and I work on my hooking projects.  I try to set aside at least an hour several times a week just for me."  Lois Barber

These two designs are the product of someone who has come to rug hooking fairly recently.  Lois saw my booth, and thought it looked interesting, but didn't find the time to try rug hooking until October 2005, when she started with one of our beginner kits.  She designed and hooked these two Celtic crosses soon afterwards, the first finished in December, 2005, and the second in March, 2006.  They are hooked on burlap, using Wool-Ease yarn.

Lois is currently working on a third original Celtic cross design, as well as a Polish folk art design (send pictures Lois!!!).

In inspiration for Lois' creativity, all of our Celtic patterns are on sale this month for 25% off.  Click here to view our Celtic patterns on sale.
